§ 14-35. All-night parking prohibited.

  • (a)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand, park, or to cause or to permit to be parked or left unattended, a motor vehicle, on any of the streets or highways of the city, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. of any day.

    (b)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand, park, or to cause or to permit to be parked or left unattended, a camping trailer, semi-trailer, trailer, trailer coach, travel trailer, fifth wheel trailer, or any other vehicle that is designed to be towed by a motor vehicle in any municipal parking lot in the City of Eaton Rapids, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. of any day.

    (c)

    It shall be unlawful for any person to stop, stand, park, or cause to be left unattended, a camping trailer, semi-trailer, trailer, trailer coach, travel trailer, fifth wheel trailer, or any other vehicle that is designed to be towed by a motor vehicle, on any of the streets or highways of the city, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. of any day.

    (d)

    A violation of this section shall be deemed to constitute a civil infraction.

    (e)

    The terms "motor-vehicle," "camping trailer," "semi-trailer," "trailer," "trailer coach," "travel trailer," and "fifth wheel trailer," as used in this section, shall have the same meaning(s) and definition(s) as defined in Michigan Motor Vehicle Code, MCL 257.1 et seq.

    (f)

    This section shall not apply to any person(s) who applied for and received a waiver of this ordinance [from which this section derives] from the City of Eaton Rapids City Council.
