§ 15-59. Purpose.

This article is enacted for the purpose of protecting public health, safety, and general welfare of persons and property within the City of Eaton Rapids, pursuant to the authority granted to cities under authority of Act 270 of the Public Acts of 1909, as amended, by prohibiting the sale or dispensing of drug paraphernalia use, designed, marketed or possession intended for use with a controlled substance or substances without an appropriate license from the State of Michigan within the City of Eaton Rapids, and to provide penalties for the violation thereof.
