§ 2-1. Wards and voting districts established; described.

  • Each ward of the city shall constitute one (1) voting precinct. The wards are bounded and described as follows:

    The first ward shall include that part of the city which lies south of the center line of Plain Street beginning at the west city limits to the Grand River, then north across the Grand River to the center line of River Street, then north on River Street to the center line of Dutton Street, then east on Dutton Street to the center line of Forest Street, then south on Forest Street to the Grand River, then along the Grand River to the south city limits. Electors living on the south side of the described boundary lines shall be deemed to be within the first ward.

    The second ward shall include that part of the city which lies north of the center line of Plain Street beginning at the west city limits to the Grand River, then north across the Grand River to the center line of River Street, then north on River Street to the center line of Union Street, then west to the Grand River, then along the Grand River to the north city limits. Electors living north and west of the described boundary lines shall be deemed to be within the second ward.

    The third ward shall include that part of the city which lies east of the Grand River beginning at the south city limits at the Grand River to the center line of Forest Street, then north on Forest Street to the center line of Dutton Street, then west on Dutton Street to the center line of River Street, then north on River Street to the center line of Union Street, then west to the Grand River, then along the Grand River to the north city limits. Electors living on the east side of the described boundary lines shall be deemed to be within the third ward.
