§ 2-15. Meeting place.

  • (a)

    The city council chamber located in City Hall is designated as the meeting place for regular and special meetings of the city council.

    (b)

    When extenuating circumstances exist, including the anticipated attendance of more persons than the permitted capacity of the city council chamber and including the inavailability of the city council chamber, regular and special meetings of the city council may be held at another place in the city available to the general public provided that notice is given in accordance with Act No. 267, P.A. 1976, as amended.

    (c)

    Emergency meetings may be held at any place available to the general public provided that notice is given in accordance with Act No. 267, P.A. 1976, as amended.
