§ 9-23. Same—Term; subsequent contracts.

  • Any contract or agreement to furnish fire protection shall run for a period of one (1) year or longer as the council deems appropriate. Subsequent contracts may be negotiated between the parties on such terms and conditions as are mutually agreeable. In such cases, the party desiring to negotiate such subsequent contract shall communicate its desire to the other party in writing at least one hundred eighty (180) days before the expiration date of the existing contract.
