§ 12-172. Minimum maintenance standards for commercial and residential structures.

  • (a)

    Indoor furniture, including but not limited to couches, chairs, and appliances may not be stored or used outside of a fully enclosed structure.

    (b)

    Indoor furniture, including but not limited to couches, chairs, and appliances may not be stored or used outside of the residence except that furniture may be used on porches that are fully enclosed providing that the furniture is not visible from the public right-of-way.

    (c)

    Every foundation, exterior wall, window, roof, eave, trim and all other exterior surfaces shall be free of holes, breaks, loose or rotting boards or timbers, and other conditions that might admit rain or dampness to the interior portions of the walls or to the occupied spaces of the building and shall be otherwise maintained in a workmanlike state of maintenance and repair.

    (d)

    No residential or commercial structure shall be allowed to remain in a condition where more than fifty (50) per cent of any exterior wall is unpainted or where more than fifty (50) per cent of the paint on said wall is totally deteriorated.
